CHARACTER TRAITS / PERSONALITY:

Will at first should appear to be a normal male student. He should have a casual and carefree attitude, with both his nature and choice of clothing, as he isn't meant to show remorse for his actions. He tends to follow the lead of others, in particular Ben. He can take physical control over the female hostages and has an interest in filming the games they play with them, to document their actions. Will has a disturbed outlook on life, which leads him to show his sadistic side within the extract, with his menacing and although remaining calm and composed throughout. Will want the attention of females and to be desired, and also to liked by the other boys. Whilst being physically capable, he also maintains a sense of control mentally. Will should be tall and of an average build with dark hair. He sometimes appears quite menacing because of his stature compared to his hostage who should be smaller than him, but have an innocence manner to bring an element of eeriness to his demeanor. Will is quite a delusional character, believing that Kate is "his" and that she enjoys his company.

FUNCTION: 
Will is a character used to intimidate the audience, as he appears to have a caring manner. He doesn't talk to the female hostages in a threatening way, he merely watches which in a way is more intimidating. He is perceived as the villain and a follower (a "sheep"). Will offers up the brains of the trio and conjures up games for the males to play, for example the video camera. He uses silence and mystery to intimidate Lola and Kate.
