Location One - The Renovated Church
Brief Description: A large renovated church surrounded by spacious fields on a secluded country road, surrounded by smaller houses and made of red bricks. Appears quite old-fashioned and traditional from the outside with authentic features such as a large wooden double front door in an arch shape and ornate glass windows. The house is sectioned off using a small brick wall that circles the whole of the house; it also has a black iron gate used to keep the house private. The property also includes gardens to the back and side of the house and a large drive area. Along with the large front door which leads to the pool and changing area, there is a side door at the top of a small set of steps which leads you into the actual living area. Upon entering the side door you are met with a large hallway which is connected to all of the downstairs rooms. The house is quite modern throughout and has such luxuries as the pool itself, a games room, multiple storage rooms, three bathrooms and bedrooms, a spacious kitchen, two living areas, a computer room and a large basement.
Positives: The property has unique elements such as the traditional old church structure, ornate glass windows and a private pool area. It is quite an interesting and unique property that situates on a country road, meaning that there will be little traffic; the surroundings are also quite beautiful as the house is placed in front of a large field which also includes a lake and is home to some animals such as goats or ponies. These features would give the idea that the property was out in the countryside and away from any other houses. The house would be big enough for the owners to stay in the house while we filmed without us potentially disrupting them. The property also includes a cellar which would be ideal for when we are filming as it fits into our film.
Negatives: We would have restricted access to the house as the family who live there run a pool business from their own home and let it out most days of the week. Also, we don't know the owners as well which could complicate things if we needed to extend the intended filming schedule. There are also many neighbouring properties, although these are not attached and could be easily concealed by using a specific type of shot. A pool advertisement is attached to the front of the house, which would restrict how much of the property front we could show and create problems when editing.
