This is the Logo that we chose to create to represent our production company. We came up with the name, "Picture Frame Productions", first and created the image around it. The name came to us after much deliberation over what we should call ourselves; we thought it would link to the film industry well and would also be quite distinctive and memorable as there aren't really any prominant production companies with a name like ours. The logo itself of course links with the name of our company as it features a picture frame surrounding an image and our company name. The bare leaved tree in the background of our logo fills the void that would exist behind the text and helps focus your attention on the name of our company itself; this is important as it will allow the name to stick in people's minds more easily. The whole image is of one simple colour scheme and is quite minimalist which will make it easier to focus on and easier to place in a wide range of different title sequences from different genres. Our logo is also quite classic as it includes an old fashioned picture frame and bold lettering. The word 'frame' is highlighted in the darkest colour featured in the logo and is made to be the boldest word shown; this is a link to the fact that the logo is feautured in a frame itself. We wanted our logo to look quite professional and edgy as it would be featured on our blog and title sequence for our film, so we wanted to catch people's attention with it and bring it up to par with the quality of the rest of our work. Luckily the logo will also fit quite well into our title sequence as we are making a horror/thriller and the logo is quite gritty and edgy in itself; if we put it against the right background and so on, it could look quite eerie which would be a perfect fit for our title sequence. I think the logo that we have created embodies what type of film we are aiming to create and is also sophisticated enough to be memorable.
